BACKGROUND

Established in 1980, Simantel at Room is an independent marketing firm with a bright future.

PROBLEM

However, their 7,000 square foot office space was being lit by inefficient three lamp T12 and T8 fluorescent fixtures. T12 fluorescent lamps are no longer manufactured. Each 3 lamp T12 fixture used 147 watts.

SOLUTION

Working with Ruyle, Simantel at Room was able to retrofit their fluorescent T12 and T8 lamps into linear LEDs. The LED linear lamps reduced the consumption of each fixture by 78%. Because the LED lamps were brighter, Ruyle also removed a fluorescent lamp, turning each fixture into a two lamp fixture.

RESULTS

Ruyle used the Ameren Illinois ActOnEnergy Program to receive $9,615.00 in incentives to help pay for the project. In addition, saving energy saves money. Simantel at Room saved:
