Mexichem Specialty Resins Inc. Instrumentation
Case Study

BACKGROUND

Mexichem was founded in 1953, they started as a producer of commodities and has evolved into a provider of innovative
solutions to address global issues. They are global suppliers of fluorine-based products, and PVC Resin.

PROBLEM

We received a call from Jake Hill the Utilities Manager stating the current boiler controls were obsolete, and the system was starting to
be troublesome.

SOLUTION

Mike Fehl, our Senior Boiler & Instrumentation Manager, was dispatched to the Henry plant location to see what solutions
we could provide for the troublesome and obsolete boiler controls. After inspection of the boiler control cabinet it
was determined that a new control system and wiring was desperately needed.

Doug Schulzki, our Service Technician removed all the existing wiring and obsolete controls in the existing cabinet.

We then supplied & installed all new wiring and control components in the existing cabinet. Doug was able to complete
this project in just four short days.

RESULTS

With the new wiring and controls there will be less down time for the system, and better performance from the boiler system.
